2nd Annual Colts Classic Volleyball Tournament

DATE AND TIME: Saturday, August 30, 2025. 8 AM start time

 

GENERAL INFORMATION: Cedar Cliff will provide work teams for line judging, scoreboard and libero tracking. Each team needs to provide a worker to do the scorebook. 

 

Warm-ups prior to the team’s first match will be 10 minutes, split 2 –4–4. After that warm-ups will be eight minutes, 2 – 3–3. The use of volleyballs is permitted in the gymnasium only. Volleyballs will be provided, you do not need to bring your own.

 

POOL PLAY: We will have two pools consisting of four teams. All pool play matches will be 2 25-point games with a 27-point cap.

 

PLAYOFFS: The top two teams in each pool will advance to playoffs.

 

TIEBREAKERS: Ties in pool play will be resolved based on:

 

1. Head-to-head competition

2. Point differential between tied teams

3. Point differential in pool play

4. One set to 15 points

 

FACILITY: The building will open at 7:15. Teams are responsible for their own valuables.

 

FOOD: We will have a concession stand. Because of this, spectators

are not permitted to bring outside food into the building. We

appreciate your support of our booster club’s efforts!

 

TRAINER: A certified trainer will be available for the benefit of your

players prior to and throughout the tournament. Please bring

your own tape/supplies for any known specific player’s needs.

 

AWARDS: Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd place teams

 

SPECTATORS: Admission for spectators will be $5 for adults and $2 for

students. Aside from team water bottles, no food or beverages

are permitted in the gyms. Bleachers will be available for

spectator seating.
